Sixten Sason utförde också många uppdrag åt andra företag som frilansande designer. Han formgav bland annat symaskiner, hushållsapparater och motorcyklar åt Husqvarna. För Electrolux formgav han exempelvis kylskåp och utombordsmotorer och han formgav även den berömda Hasselbladkameran.
